THE 16TH BAR- [thee siks-teenth bahr]-noun
1. In musical notation, a bar (or measure) is a segment of time defined by a given number of beats of a given duration.
Within 16 bars, the rhythmic style of the piece is established. This introduction, in other words, provides you
with a melody that allows you to establish your first impression of the song.
2. When you walk into any room, you only have one chance at a good first impression. Your image, is your first impression.

Founded on the belief of empowering society, we began our mission to produce long lasting first impressions. We want everyone to have the possibility to rise above any situation.
The idea of The 16th Bar began just a few years ago. After moving to Los Angeles, we launched our first womenswear collection for the Fall 2012 season.We met amazing people, but unfortunately after almost two years, we were unsuccessful in finding a talented manufacturer to fulfill our expectations and quality of our vision for the brand in Los Angeles.
The summer of 2014, we packed up and moved to New York City. Neither of us had ever been, but we knew it was where we needed to be. Since arriving, we began developing our new collections, and decided to have Kyle take lead in Mens. We realized, we had been receiving an enormous amount of support, with a great portion of them being men, who also happened to be average height. Now that we have located the perfect manufacturer right here in NYC, we can say we’re truly excited to be offering both mens and womenswear. With over 30 years of experience and an approval from CFDA, our manufacturer has produced for several brands you see today in Nordstroms, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks 5th Avenue, Net-A-Porter.com and more. We have high expectations for our quality and brand, and so should you.
Next month we will be launching our Kickstarter with Mens and Womens pieces and need your support more than ever.
